Peet Grady Chambers

LITE facilities include two Peet-Grady test chambers, which are custom-built spatial insecticide chambers used to test efficacy of volatile compounds and aerosols.

The chambers can be used to assess the vapour activity of technical grade insecticides and active ingredients destined to be used in their volatile form, as well as the biological efficacy of formulated products commonly used for vector control in households (e.g., mosquito coils, vaporizing mats, ambient emanators, and liquid vaporizers, and aerosols). Depending on the test design, either caged or free flying mosquitoes can be used.
